Each country will have its own laws regarding which equipment must be carried in a vehicle. A reflective safety vest is just one of many items of mandatory equipment that you may need in your car. The reflective safety vest can also be used in a number of ways. If you break down at the side of the road – perhaps due to a flat tyre or a broken light – wearing it will ensure that you are kept safe, in accordance with legal requirements. But the reflective safety vest is useful however you use the road – if visibility is poor, the vest will ensure you are seen by other road users, for example if you are cycling or skating. Thanks to its highly visible colour and integrated reflective bands, the reflective safety vest complies with the standard for high-visibility clothing. Made from polyester, and available in one size to fit all, the vest features two reflective bands and a hook-and-loop fastener. The front part of the vest carries a ŠKODA logo. The reflective safety vest must be kept clean – the bands are non- flective when dirty, meaning that the garment offers no protection and it cannot serve its purpose. With regard to safety, we recommend that the reflective safety vest is always kept within reach of the driver (glove compartment, door panel pocket) so that the driver can put on the vest before leaving the vehicle. In some ŠKODA models, there is a compartment directly beneath the driver‘s seat where the vest can be stored.
