In many situations, modern assistance systems warn of a potential collision and even actively help to prevent or minimise its consequences. Travel Assist actively supports the driver with longitudinal and lateral steering and, in addition to Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), also includes Adaptive Lane Keeping with Road Work Detection, Traffic Jam Assist and Emergency Assist.
All of these systems require software updates to ensure that they continue to work properly even after some time has elapsed.
Due to the need to follow a specified procedure, the software update must be carried out by an authorised service partner. Incorrect handling may result in the permanent damage of the vehicle.
